You may NOT use Trio for the following purposes:
3a. Harmful or Illegal Content

3c. Intellectual Property Violation
- Trademark infringement: Generating designs that include or closely imitate trademarks, logos, or brand identities you don't own or have permission to use
- Copyright violation: Creating designs that replicate copyrighted works (other designers' work, published UI kits, etc.) without permission
- Trade secret misuse: Using Trio to reproduce proprietary designs from competitors based on leaked or stolen specifications
Note: Using Trio with built-in design systems (shadcn/ui, AlignUI) is permitted — these are included under their respective licenses. Creating "similar to" designs based on publicly available references is generally acceptable.
3d. Service Abuse
- Account sharing: Sharing login credentials between multiple people (each user must have their own account)
- Limit circumvention: Creating multiple free accounts to exceed daily prompt limits
- Automated abuse: Using bots, scripts, or automation tools to interact with the plugin or companion server beyond normal use
- API abuse: Directly calling internal APIs, WebSocket endpoints, or HTTP bridge outside of the official plugin
- Resource abuse: Intentionally submitting prompts designed to consume excessive resources or disrupt service
- Resale without agreement: Offering Trio's capabilities as part of your own paid service without a written partnership agreement
3e. Security Violations
- Unauthorized access: Attempting to access other users' accounts, data, or sessions
- Data extraction: Attempting to extract system prompts, AI configurations, design system specifications, or icon pack data from the Software for external use
- Vulnerability exploitation: Exploiting bugs, security vulnerabilities, or errors in the Service instead of reporting them
- Infrastructure attacks: DDoS, brute force, injection attacks, or any attempt to compromise our infrastructure
- Circumventing security: Disabling, bypassing, or tampering with authentication, rate limiting, or tier enforcement mechanisms
3f. Spam and Abuse
- Prompt flooding: Rapidly submitting meaningless prompts to waste system resources
- Support abuse: Submitting fraudulent support tickets or making false claims to obtain refunds or credits
- Review manipulation: Posting fake reviews, ratings, or testimonials about Trio
4. Design System and Icon Pack Usage
4a. Built-in Design Systems
shadcn/ui and AlignUI specifications are included in Trio for the purpose of generating accurate designs. You may use generated designs based on these systems in any project and create commercial products using designs generated with these systems.
You may NOT:
- Extract the raw design system specification files from the Software for external use
- Redistribute the design system data outside of Trio
4b. Icon Packs
Lucide and Remix icons included in Trio are subject to their original open-source licenses:
- Lucide: ISC License — free for personal and commercial use
- Remix: Apache License 2.0 — free for personal and commercial use
Icons used in Trio-generated designs are covered by these licenses. You do not need additional licensing for icons placed in your designs.
5. Team Admin Responsibilities
If you are a Team Owner or Admin, you are additionally responsible for:
- Ensuring all team members are aware of and comply with this AUP
- Promptly removing team members who violate this policy
- Not using team management features to surveil individual prompt content (team dashboards show usage counts, not prompt text)
- Maintaining appropriate access controls (Admin vs. Member roles)
6. Enforcement
6a. Violation Detection
We may detect violations through:
- Automated monitoring of usage patterns (not prompt content)
- User reports
- Security audits
- Third-party notifications
6b. Consequences
Depending on the severity and nature of the violation:
| Severity | Action |
|---|---|
| Minor (first offense, unintentional) | Warning via email with explanation |
| Moderate (repeated minor violations, negligent misuse) | Temporary account suspension (7-30 days) |
| Severe (intentional harmful use, security violations) | Immediate account termination |
| Critical (illegal activity, exploitation) | Immediate termination + report to law enforcement |
6c. Appeal Process
If your account is suspended or terminated, you may appeal by emailing hello@ai2.design within 14 days. Include:
- Your account email
- The reason given for the action
- Your explanation or context
- Any evidence supporting your appeal
We will review appeals within 14 business days and notify you of the outcome.
7. Reporting Violations
If you believe another user is violating this policy, email hello@ai2.design with a description of the violation, any relevant evidence, and the user's account email (if known).
We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Reports are handled confidentially.
8. Responsible AI Use
Trio uses AI to generate designs. While we design our system prompts to produce appropriate output, AI can occasionally generate unexpected results. If you receive output that seems inappropriate or harmful:
- Do not distribute or use that output
- Report it to us at hello@ai2.design so we can improve our safety measures
- Delete the generated content from your Figma file
We continuously update our AI safety measures and system prompts to minimize harmful output.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP to address new types of misuse or clarify existing rules. Material changes will be communicated via email and/or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect.
